image019Assisted Voluntary Return (AVR)

Inter Aid Uganda in partnership with Refugee Action UK implements the Assisted Voluntary Returns Programme (AVR) to support Ugandans living in the UK who have opted to return to Uganda with their Reintegration process.

This programme is funded by UK Border Agency and European Return Fund through Refugee Action, with Inter Aid Uganda implementing the following services;

  1. Pre – departure Contact Services before leaving the UK to respond to any immediate concerns and also confirm contact arrangements.
  2. Meet and Greet Services on arrival at the Airport in Uganda to welcome and assist Returnees from the Airport to their final destination and also brief them about the current social Economic and political situation in Uganda
  3. Re integration Support Services for guidance and support in developing personal socio – economic plans for re integration, Financial Assistance for Re integration, and Follow up on Returnees implementation plans.
  4. Support towards access to Health and Legal Services
  5. Psychosocial Counselling and appropriate Interventions
